Yea , tape a wooden baseball bat because it gives you a more firm grip and control of the bat. I would tape it the criss-cross style. If you don't know how to do that , then I'll tell you right now. First , get about a 2 foot long piece of tape (do not rip it off the roll of tape). Wrap it around the top of the nob. then twist the tape roll so the piece of tape you stretched off becomes a line and firm. Now wrap it around the bat down the bat like a spiral. Then roll the acess tape you had around the bottom and rip it off. Now , do the process again but from the bottom up not from up to down. Then just wrap it from the top like a regular bat.
